- High school graduation (Diploma)

Due to the number of applications that CSU campuses receive each year, there are CSU campuses that will have higher standards for impacted majors and for students that are not California residents. A few campuses require supplementary admission criteria for all applicants.
Eligibility Index
Grades and test scores
Like the UC system, the Cal State
schools place heavy emphasis on the grades that you earn in high school.
Standardized tests also play a big role in your eligibility. For the California
residents, the Cal State system uses a unique index to determine the minimum
SAT/ACT score requirement to determine your admission eligibility.
If your GPA is 3.0 or above, there is no minimum test score that you must
achieve. Even so, it is highly recommended that you take the SAT, due to the
large quantity of applications that the Cal States receives and the competitive
admission standards.
